Funny you should ask this question.
 
Back in 1989, I went to a small Pet Store in the same complex where I was
working and saw a rat and thought I would like one so I asked to see it. The
lady said the rat is pregnant and I said not its not, its a male. I asked her to
hold him and I got him later when work was finished.  :)
 
Bogie was my first ever rat and I loved him immensely although he died way too
young at 2 years old. Then came Junior, Jette, Prima, Donna, Bogette, Harry,
Jnjr and 11 years later in 2001 came Junyer and then Lenny, Squiggy and Honey. I
have not had any since Squiggy died in 2005. But a week this Tuesday, I am
getting 4 Squishes as I am adopting them

Hi everyone,

I have recently joined this group and thought i finally introduce myself.

I am Katrin and I live in Cairns - Australia and have had ratties for about 3
years now.
My first one i had given to me by someone who breed them for his snakes.
Gordie came to me as a boy and when i realized that one should not keep them
alone i got another male. Funny though - Snowy had some huge things hanging off
his bottom and Gordie didn't ??? What is wrong with Snowy? It took a while and
seeing Snowy humping Gordie before it clicked.
Gordie is a girl - oh dear. Quick separate them before we have more than we
bargained for.

I got another 5 girls after Gordie and i must say. They most likely have saved
my life.
They also taught me so much about myself and the love that i truly have for
those little critters.
they are just the best.

I would love to hear some of your stories in how you came to love these gorgeous
animals.

Lots of love to all of you - this forum is the absolute crown of all forums i
have ever come across. Just proves that rat lovers are better people.
