To Ashley with the 3 bullfrog tads, I've heard they stay tads for
over a year, up to maybe two years. Used to hear them in the woods
here but it's been so dry for years that I think they moved away to
find permanent water.
For those who have bullfrogs as a natural resident in their area, it
could be pretty fun to keep them while they're tads in an aquarium or
outdoor pond, then re-release them into the wild when they become
full frogs. Then, get some more bullfrog tads from the local pond or
creek to start the cycle again. My little tree frog residents would
be a snack for a bullfrog tad, they're so tiny!

food in the location is poor. I give them miner's lettuce (it looks
like mini lily pads with a flower on a stalk, it's edible for humans--
also called winter purslane or montia perfoliata).
