Hi Everyone,
I'm so excited about the picnic and our club's first 'A' match. The picnic is
our dogs' favorite club event because they love love love running with other V's
and swimming in the pond at Connie's place. We hope you plan to come out and
play.
I'm in charge of the picnic this year. The club will provide a main course
(franks, burgers,...etc) to grill. And we have disposable dinnerware and trash
bags. We will need a propane grill at the site. Can someone pledge to bring one?
The rest will be pot luck provided by club members. We'll need beverages
(non-alchoholic) , sides, desserts, and whatever other food you'd like to have
at the picnic. Please let me know what you plan to bring so that we can avoid
duplication (I think we had three kinds of chocolate brownies last year:)
A good idea is to respond on the list so everyone else knows what dishes are
already spoken for and they can choose to bring something different. I'll
coordinate everything and let you know what we still need as the date approches.
There is a picnic table or two out there already and big Cottonwood trees for
shade. But do bring chairs, blankets, towels, crates for the dogs, bug spray,
lots of water, and anything else to make you and your dogs comfortable in the
outdoors. Don't forget your first aid kit with antihistamine in it in case of
the odd bee or bug sting.
This is a very fun event. Do plan to come!
