Birders,
The Sioux Falls Bird Club went out this morning to Touch the Sky Prairie and
Blue Mounds State Park (both near Luverne MN, just across the SD border) to look
for nesting grassland birds. A few of the common grassland birds were found but
our search for the resident Blue Grosbeaks at Blue Mounds proved futile. The
highlight for this morning was a side-track on the way home to a gravel quarry
near Luverne and seeing 6 species of Shorebirds.(Thanks to Todd Jensen who
always brings his scope) The Birds found this morning are listed below.
