No; he had his own entourage there, so nobody said anything. He'll probably do it again and there's no stopping him; I'm getting very tired of First Run.
As far as back yard breeders i don't agree with you. not all are evil and if they are spoken for what is the harm?
The harm is that literally millions of dogs in shelters that are great as well will never have a chance because some breeder felt their dog's bloodline was worthy of creating more litters of puppies. There is a huge pet overpopulation problem that most people aren't aware of, and all breeders contribute to that problem by putting that many more puppies and kittens on the market. For one to live, another must die; so, one has to be cuter or more appealing than the other.
Please read Letter from a shelter manager (the sad truth) [excerpt: "About 50% of all of the dogs that are "owner surrenders" or "strays" that come into my shelter are purebred dogs."]
Am i a back yard breeder? No.Have i purchased from such a person? yes and i got the best puppies around. I know who the mother and father were and i know their temperment which is important to me because i have grandchildren and i have to have a dog that is good with children.would i use a puppy mill? never
Never knowingly, maybe; a lot of people don't know and don't care what they're getting. As one woman in the run said to me about her Boston terrier that she bought at American Kennels on Lexington Avenue, "My sister bought him for me because I wanted him." That's all most people care about.
