Travis is a lovely, mostly foxhound.  I think he is more foxhound than anything else, but they call him a mix.  He would be great for someone with hound experience and a good, large property for him to sniff away.  He would be an excellent second dog, especially for a senior dog or a timid dog because he is very gentle and sweet to other dogs.  He is tall but very light weight and compared to a basset, he is like a feather.  He LOVES other dogs, especially bassets.

He does still need to continue with obedience work, but he is very quick to learn and already waits patiently at doors, knows leave it, is good to leash walk and downs on a mat and relaxes when you sit down.  He loves sticks and balls and running on a beach or by a lake.  He is one of the sweetest dogs I think I have ever met and I would LOVE to help find him a good home with another hound in the household and humans who understand hounds.

So feel free to forward this to anyone you think might be interested.  They can call the SFSPCA and ask for him to be held until they get here.  

Make sure to tell the person on the phone that "Sara, Intern referred them and to let a trainer know they are coming with that referral".

This one is a real gem, so please help me find him a good home!
