In July 2002, the Park Board of Springfield, Illinois opened an off-leash area for dogs to play together. It is now two fenced-in areas located within Stuart Park. This group was set up for people to discuss anything about the dog park.

To get to the dogpark:

First go to the intersection of Jefferson St. and Veterans Parkway. From there, go one-block West on Jefferson, stay in the right lane, and take the first right onto Winch Road (by the little strip mall). The entrance to the park is up Winch Lane about 1/2 mile, on the left, just after passing Suzette Dr. When you go into the park, the entrance is a T intersection, turn left and then right into a parking lot. Follow the path and you are there!
