ASPCA Dog Bite Statistics Support Neutering
Unneutered male dogs are much more likely to bite than their neutered bretheren. Statistics cited in a recent ASPCA newsletter reveal that 70 percent of all dog bites involve unneutered males. Neutered dogs were significantly less likely to bite. While female dogs were responsible for far fewer bites than males overall, the number attributed to spayed females
was also considerably lower than for unaltered females. These figures prove that sterilization curbs aggression making dogs safer and less likely to incur liability on the part of the owner for bite-inflicted injuries.--
