My father has a blind Chessepeak (sp?), her's in
genetic...so there is nothing that can be done for her....She
is now completly blind, and does just
fine...Although my father still takes her bird hunting..she
doesn't understand why she can't go duck hunting :-)
(falling off the pier is not a funny thing...when your
blind) But she gets around just fine, follows the kids,
plays and is just a happy little girl. So long as your
boy is not in pain, and he knows he's loved...there
really shouldn't be a problem...they just go more on ear
and smell.

I hope this helps...but I hope you
don't need this info, and they are able to give your
baby back his sight :-) good luck, and my prayers are
with you and your family.

-SpottedPaw
