The purpose of this Tiel Chatter mailing list is to share our experiences with our Cockatiels in the form of email discussions. We can ask and answer questions, and share information on proper care, diet, breeding, mutations, genetics, shows, and other topics related to cockatiels. This doesn't take the place of seeing a vet if your bird is sick. Posts about other birds are ok, but the majority should be about Cockatiels.

This list is limited to messages about our birds. Other types of messages such as jokes, poems, chit chat between friends on the list, off subject posts and things of this nature can be done on this list's sister list - Tielfriends. Tielfriends is not a stand alone list it's a extention of Tielchatter and is used to form closer friendships through informal chatting about topics other than our birds. Please do not send questions about cockatiels/birds to that list. If you are a member of Tielchatter and want to join Tielfriends send a email to:

There will be no flaming of other group members or use of profanity in any messages. These are both grounds for removal from the list. Please post in plain text and send no attachments or articles to the list. Just send the URL(address) to any pics or articles. Also do not cross post when sending to the list. Meaning if you belong to more then one list don't include Tielchatter when sending to other lists. Just send the post to any other lists separate then when sending to Tielchatter. Fowards from other lists or people are not allowed. This is a family oriented list and will be moderated.

This is a really friendly list with a lot of very helpful members.
