Welcome to Tortoise Nutrition!

Sound nutritional information, advice, plant identification and more, for all species of tortoises and turtles. Please join us!

Please don't use this as a "botany only" list, it is intended for tortoises and turtles! Often plants need identification and such discussion is encouraged, however please remember this is a dietary/husbandry/care listserve.

This is a very friendly list, with just a few rules to keep things orderly.


Tortoise Nutrition has been created in loving memory of Jill Martin.

Jill was pioneer in the research in the captive care of all turtles, and dedicated her life to them. She was also a tireless advocate of turtles and tortoises still living wild, and co-founder of the Tortoise Trust.

She is dearly missed.
