ARE YOU A TURTLE?
Many members of America's great fraternal organizations, such as
the Masons, Elks, and the VFW, are familiar with that age-old
query, "Are you a Turtle?" Sometimes, one sees a green-shelled
turtle lapel pin or even an auto decal with a
grinning turtle asking the same question. But what or who are
the Turtles, you ask? The "Turtles" are indeed an illustrious
fraternity and include in their membership some of the world's
foremost leaders in the fields of government, finance,
entertainment, aerospace, and all other areas where
initiative, a feeling for fair play, clean thoughts and a
sense of humor are keys to success. Started by a group of
fighter pilots during WWII, the club has progressed to its
present position as one whose membership is dilligently sought
after and highly esteemed by those lucky enough to be initiated.
We are a social fraternity that believes in working hard and
enjoying a drink on the weekends. Today there are over 1
million Turtles Worldwide enjoying the Fun, Networking and
Brotherhood .....benefits of being a Turtle. If you are not
currently a Turtle, please call the Admissions Office at (210)
896-5842 to schedule your initiation.
Having no dues and only a $10 initiation fee, the Turtles simply
ask new members to go out, socialize and recruit new members.
When asked the Password by another Turtle, and you fail to give
the proper response in its entirety, you owe that Turtle a
beverage of their choice.
We will have Meet & Greets all over America. No matter what
state you live in, all TURTLES are invited to join this Meetup
group and possibly consider starting a chapter in your area. New
chapters are forming now. This Meetup group encompases the fun
of many groups (drinking wine or beer,karaoke,poker,friends,
singles, divorced, ladies,musicians, professionals,new
to town and more). You will find that life is more fun and
takes on new meaning when you are a "Turtle".
