Or maybe you're putting in too much?
A small thin slice of sweet potato will last for days in a triops tank and
will not cloud for days.

You start off by adding desirable bacteria. :-)
Visit a decent aquarium shop and you'll find all sorts of waste control
bacteria which performs a technique called 'competitive exclusion'.

My article lists various products.
It works.

So I think I figured out (at least one of...) my problem(s)
I think there is a large amount of bad bacteria in my aquarium because when I
put food in there, it quickly clouds up and cakes together.
I've put some dried leaves and such now, so we'll see how that works. But does
anyone else have ideas on how to get rid of undesirable bacteria?
I'm actually using old coconut shavings per someone's previous recommendation,
but that can get pretty dirty and hard to clean up. If anyone else has dealt
with this problem, as always your input is important to me.
Thanks!

Subject: RE: [Triops Forever] Triop Bulk buy
I HAVE PRESENTLY UP TO 50#. PRICE DEPENDS ON PROVEN HATCH PER GRAM FOR A GIVEN
LOT, IN 5# INCREMENTS. THE HATCH PER GRAM DETERMINES THE RATIO OF MIX WITH
DETRITUS OR OTHER MEDIUM, TO PRODUCE PACKETS WITH A DEMONSTRATED HATCH RATE FOR
EACH PACKET, OF TEN PLUS, PER PACKET. WE TUMBLE TRIOP EGG IN 5# LOTS AND DO
HATCH TEST ON A CROSS SECTION FROM EACH LOT, THEN STORE EACH SEPARATE LOT
SEPARATELY PENDING SALE, WITH THE LOT NUMBER AND HATCH RATE RECORDED FOR
REFERENCE. A PRICE PER POUND IS DERIVED BASED ON 450 GRAMS PER POUND, ALLOWING
YOU TO CALCULATE YOUR PROFIT ON YOUR GIVEN PACKET PRICE. CONTACT: REPLY, EMAIL
In fact, I am a wholesaler of triop egg and detritus. I have a quantity
available. aj

Those are some great pics, thanks for sharing!
I think pink eggs are normal, that's the color of my TL eggs, but it looks like
you may have a TA, yeah?
The eggs I collect also vary depending on what else is collected with it,
perhaps the eggs are easily stained.
When I get eggs along with other muck from the end of a cycle, they eggs are all
dark brown and even when dried, remain dark brown. If I collect the eggs only,
such as if the triops sheds strangely so that that entire egg sac goes with it
then the eggs start off pink and dry off white
I'd love to hear if those eggs produce clones of your albino!

Yes.

When it appears. :-) But it's more likely to be NH3.
> Is there an easy way to test for this ...
Just get yourself a ammonia and nitrite liquid test kit.

Dosage daily or bi-daily with a quantity of Prime by Seachem.
