Hello all. Happy to have found this group. I live on a rather large lake here in
E. Tampa. I can't explain my connection to these wonderful creatures but for
whatever reason I seem to be drawing them to me or they are finding me, often.
I've rescued at least a dozen from roadways, yards, dogs teeth, and swimming
pools, just to name a few. Since these encounters have become so frequent, I
feel compelled to set up a safe haven for them when needed. Otherwise, I'd
return them to their natural enviroment, which typically is the lake I live on.
If someone would advise me or send additional information on the protocol and
resources I need to set this up, I'd be very grateful.
