Description

This group is for discussion of vegetarian alternatives for companion animals as well as for alternative health care for animals. Discussion of books, tapes, seminars, products relating to health and well-being of animals is welcome. We especially welcome open-mindedness to diversity of thought and opinion on these topics.

Both cats and dogs can be fed a well-planned, balanced vegetarian/vegan diet with supplements. Diets may be homemade & formulated with veterinary help or commercially prepared. Commercially available vegetarian/vegan foods include Dr. Harvey's, Harbinger's of a New Age (Vegepet), Yarrah Organics, Three Dog Bakery Vegetarian, Happidog, Wacki Dog, Nature's Recipe, Natural Life, Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance, Wow-Bow Vegi-Krunch, Evolution, Medi-Cal, Green Ark, HOANA recipes and others.
