RE: [weimaraner] ironing

Right. 1969 - our last year in Omaha. We moved to Texas in 1970. I kept running outside (very clear night) to look up at the moon (every time I finished ironing an article). I just couldn't digest that there were 3 human beings up there. It was an awesome night - I didn't even hate ironing - I was so excited.

The only time I ever saw the bottom of my ironing basket was while I was watching the moon landing on TV at the same time. As soon as most things became available in Perm. Press I got rid of everything else (Even the stuff for 8 kids and husband and went out and bought new Perm Press for all of us. The I gave my iron to the Goodwill. Free at last, free at last!

Oh SURE! But NOW they're coming back with 100% cotton stuff that looks like an unmade bed if it isn't ironed! My husband has quite a few summer shirts that come out totally wrinkled and I did break down a buy an iron(for him!!)last summer.

Remember the time before steam irons?  You had to sprinkle the wash the night before you ironed it.  And if you didn't get to it, it got moldy.  My mother...
