Welcome to Whole Cat Health, a forum for caregivers interested in offering their feline companions a full, healthy life through a partnership that honors body, mind, and spirit.

We will discuss all aspects of cat wellness and holistic care, which includes:

• understanding feline nutrition and providing a species-appropriate diet (including raw fresh food)

• resolving health issues with such complementary healing techniques as homeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, chiropractic, NAET, Jaffe-Mellor Technique, Reiki, and flower essences

• using an integrative approach to manage health conditions, such as diabetes, obesity, "allergy," chronic renal insufficiency (CRF) and urinary disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and digestive disorders, and skin disorders

• making least-toxic choices in pest control, vaccination, litter, and home maintenance

• appreciating cats' natural behavior and introducing new behaviors, including through communication

• caring for the elderly and preparing for the life passage

Cats present us with an opportunity to elevate our consciousness and experience our humanity by caring for beings who depend on us for survival. And so in return for the cats' trust in us, we will place their best interests at the heart of our conversations - making every effort to exchange accurate information and to act with dignity, compassion, and respect for both cats and caregivers.
