This group is set up to explore horse health, and particularly aspects of equine health that result in healthy, robust bare feet. This group promotes a very conservative barefoot trim such as that endorsed by the American Hoof Association.

It is a closed group, and most people asking for membership will be invited. NO advertising or promotion without my permission!

I am a full-time professional trimmer who also publishes the www.healthyhoof.com website, plus I'm active in both the American Hoof Association and the Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners groups. I'm really busy and offer this group, on the side, for the benefit of our horses.

Shod horse owners & shoeing farriers are welcome here as long as they understand that the group is pro-barefoot/boots. You won't get harassed or attacked, and can question what we do and why as long as we keep it professional... if it gets out of hand I cut it off. Many of us have used or are open to using synthetic shoes therapeutically. But we all understand that before shoeing, a hoof needs to be trimmed, and discussing trims - shod afterward or not - is one of our main interests.

I'm fine with different opinions, but have a low tolerance for people who can't state their opinion and move on. Differences are okay, leave it at that! We all have different perspectives, that's good. Mine is best for me, yours is best for you...
