The WolfdogZ List was created to discuss wolfdog-related issues: behavior, containment, identification, genetics, domestication, socialization, health, legal issues, rescue (although this is NOT a rescue list). The list is open to experienced and novice wolfdog owners and/or anyone interested in learning more about wolfdogs.

This list has some simple and basic guidelines, but they are important, so please read them carefully:

(1) topics must pertain to wolfdogs, wolves and/or northern breed dogs;

(2) no advertising of products, services or animals (i.e., no posting of animals for sale or promotion of products/services motivated by self-interests) with the exception of non-profit wolf/wolfdog orgs/rescues;

(3) NO chatty posts or one-liners (send those PRIVATELY);

(4) alternative viewpoints are welcome but keep it civil/clean (no profanity/baiting);

(5) change the subject line to reflect changes in topics;

(6) place YOUR response ABOVE the post you respond to;

(7) do NOT use colored background/stationary as it causes problems with some computers;

(8) photos can be sent to the photos section, but please keep them under 100kb;

(9) files or links containing educational material (legal issues, behavior, genetics, bite stats, etc.) can be found and/or posted to the files or links sections;

(10) the guessing game will continue to be played per members' requests (forward photos to moderators rather than to the list);

(11) NO forwarding of list mail to other lists or non-list members; and

(12) individuals who condone or participate in animal abuse or zoophilia are unwelcome.

Violation of these rules will result in a private warning first, a public warning second, and a one-month suspension for the third and final violation. The moderators reserve the right to ban a member if we deem it in the best interest of the list. This is an "open" list, so use care when divulging personal information and remember that children are present.
